Listening to every heart

0 posted 2003-06-06 02:39 PM

One would think it easier
In light of freshly fallen snow
To see where the Seeker has been
To know where it is he may go

Hear owl’s whoosh of wing
As but a feather-light breeze
Sparkling leaves hint of Seeker
All heard in hushed memories

There we are, on this path so worn
In those hoary mists of time
The grasses brush me in my wake
I know, for these memories are mine

The Seeker stands before me, steps
Among old Recollection’s path
Spirits call to him, through time
Cries of carnage's aftermath

Then Seeker turns to beckon me, to
Follow him toward meadow’s light
He turns, pulls me to his arms,
Searching again his lover’s rights

He speaks not a word, but I hear
His heart is whispering to mine
It is my fate to record them now,
Evidencing truth, of far-away gone times

Shadows stir, mists recede,
Seeker fades into the night
I feel him not so far from me,
I shall find him in my write…

K-

This is incredible...what a story you tell and you tell it so beautifully.  I feel so serene now.

That's a lovely verse, and every thought you write.
