"Really?
How is he?"

"Fine.
He said to say hello,"

(he didn't really;
we didn't talk much;
just got stoned,
acted like a yesterday
wasn't dead a bunch of years;
so if not being able
to resurrect the dead
brings me down today,
why should I say
he didn't even mention you
yesterday?).

a thoughtful comment
if even a lie...
sometimes we wonder why bother
and others we know..
it is the kindest thing to do

Cpat Hair ~ I am always conflicted about that; most times I would agree.  There are lots of times when it is very clear that people simply do not want to know. Yet, I always feel an internal pressure to share information which is being missed.  Usually, I do not share it.

Thank you for reading and for your insightful comment.

I read this earlier, but was kind of without words for reply.

But I agree, a small act of kindness...

(and sheesh, you get me thinking when I don't wanna--pout)

Now, I"ve warned you about that thinking stuff before!

Thank you for taking time to comment.

I really did not mean to scare you this morning.

smile. No offense taken.

I have kind of a morbid sense of humours...

see what I mean?

Hugs you. I think it sweet of you to be that concerned.

Excellent write and i often wonder these things myself, these little pleasantries that make you think was there any need for me to say that?

passing shadows ~ Thanks for stopping by and saying "Hi."

BluesSerenade ~ *smile* I am sure if he knew you, he would.  Thank you for reading and commenting.

Aenimal ~ Some people live their lives like tumbleweeds caught in an eternal wind.  They'll blow in and out of others' lives, come for an hour, a day, a week, and vanish again with no understanding that people get used to them being memories and move on with their own lives.  My loyalty always is for those who stand and stay.  Thank you for reading my poem and for your comment.
