As twilight falls, my heart recalls
Lunged forward in my chest, poised syllables
Yet willow is the mood around me
Can you hear, the faint percussion that has found me?

A vapor in the breeze to softly find
That certain sunset space, held gently in your mind
There beside you in a pocket my accompany
Can you hear, the faint distinguish that becomes me?

Be it June or sweet October none the better
As sun sets down upon my heart it’s tag and fetter
Brought to color on my lips there keeps resounding
Can you hear, this faintly beating love now sounding?

As twilight dims the leaves in hymns
Hushed gently to be known of weightless skims
Yet harbored in my heart, your soft envision
Can you hear, that I am near, as love’s decision?

As twilight falls, my heart recalls
Lingered on into the dawn, the nighttime stalls
There beside you, as your lips but settle on me
Can you hear, each breath so clear, in dusk upon me?

TD,
I love the questions in this piece...really draws the reader into the read.  Sort of almost, well, interactive.  I imagined the sounds I would hear.  Ahh...you write wonderfully.
