I wish I could dip a paintbrush
Into the palette of my mind,
And paint a world around you
Where only love you’d find.

There behind a fence with roses,
Is a garden to soften your despair.
Above, a brightly colored rainbow
Lifts heavy darkness in the air.

I'd try to paint you peace of mind,
Trying hard not to intervene.
It might chase away the raindrops
Turn your tears to days serene.

I’d try to paint me standing
On your doorstep, in the desert there.
You could cry upon my shoulder
Your troubles we could share.

I’d try to paint ‘over’ with 'forever'
And mend your broken dreams.
I’d try to brighten up your darkness
Until the warm sunlight beams.

Yes, I’d use this caring paintbrush
In the corner of my mind…
To paint my wishes all around you
And hope true love one day you’ll find.

Your Friend[s] are much appreciative for all you do for us...in so many ways, you are always there to remind us we are never, ever alone.

Sharon, the out-pouring of love through your sensitive and caring words, demonstrates the depth of your beautiful and loving soul. Your friend is fortunate to have you in her life.

Loving hugs to you both and may her pain and sorrow be replaced with peace & joy...

Dearest "Friend" you are not alone with an empty space in your heart right now, as a lot of us have shared in the same sorrow.  Funny though, somehow that does not make the pain easier does it?  I hope it does help to let those that care about you give you a hug, and the ability to listen when your feelings need validation,
as that is what a real friend is.

The quickest cure for a broken heart is a dear friend to sew the stitches...and you've certainly  done that in a most loving way.  You've changed your picture recently.  It is very warming.  Ken J

Although this is intended for one particular person who needed a hug, feel free to take one too if you need one.  Thank you all so kindly for liking her card, and kayjay, thank you for the lovely compliment, but also you have not written since April, get to it now

Sharon,
You did all of those things for me. And what a difference it made. Awesome write and hope it helps others as much as you have helped me.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Sharon, I truly felt reading this that this was a card for my dream girl I haven't yet met too! (wipes tears) As much as I want her so very much too and want to have true love, I also think always of how my dream girl must feel and how she has to wait ever so much and if she cries on her bed at some time every day and wondering how long it will be till she finds me running to her! (wipes tears) God Bless You, sweet friend, I know this special person you dedicated this to will find a love so golden soon, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sharon, thank you for sharing

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

I’d try to paint ‘over’ with 'forever'
And mend your broken dreams.
I’d try to brighten up your darkness
Until the warm sunlight beams.

Lots of hugs for you!

The closer I came to the end of your poem,  the tighter my chest felt.  Absolutely breathtaking Mysteria~  Your writing is a wonder that fills the heart with the best kind of love there is.

I hope your Birthday was extra special!

Awwww, thank you BluesSerenade, and yes my birthday was special as I was alive to enjoy it   Rather uneventful but nonetheless a beautiful day around me.  Thank you kindly for your lovely comment - even those are so poetic - you too are one with such a warm, and giving soul that is easily felt by those reading your work.
