Roses
In my garden
Bring memories of you.
Pink and bright red and deep yellow
Remind me of my sweet loving fellow
Who brought roses in the winter
And roses fresh with dew.
For my birthday
Roses!

Joyce, I loved it! Was this truly your first attempt at writing a rictameter? The form was perfect and the content delightful!
---and btw, wishing you a very belated Happy Birthday! lol

Warm hugs and smiles,
Linda

Thank you friends and dear Earth Angel, I practiced this a bit once before, but had to read these poems to remind myself how to do it. And he truly did bring me roses.  Love, Joyce

How lovely.  Try you did, and you produced a beautiful bouquet of words.

Last night, I got a lesson in rictameters I think I shall never forget.  Now I am in the poetry workshop...learning!

Joyce, you may try Rictameters, or any other form of poetry, any time you want.  We always appreciate what you bring to us through your lovely words...and thank you for the roses!

Gee, you are so brave - I don't try anything new - so, thanks for the inspiration to go do it too!  Beautiful as always Joyce.

This is a very pretty poem.  I love roses, especially peach ones...  but red ones are lovely too

Well done Joyce. In my humble opinion, these are so hard to write and I have yet to master one. Congratulations!!!

(smiles) Oh Donna, this is beautiful, sweet friend, I've never written that many rictameters but believe they are a beautiful form of poetry and guess I just like to leave them to others as I always love to read them! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, red and yellow ones are my favorite, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Joyce, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
