Dark shadows
Hiding midst the night
Fearing the light of day
Knowing of what will come
If the light gives form
to these lonely creatures
The pain inside amplified
In its terrifying beauty
With each moment
Basking in the light
They bask in the darkness
Which fills their broken souls
So, the dark shadows hide
Where the light cannot reach
Here no one can see their pain
Only know that it exists
Lonely shadows in the night
Never again to see the light of day

Fear destroys the mind, depression destroys the soul... only love and compassion may save you from death.

My own lonely shadows aren't afraid of daylight anymore. *sigh* but they don't scare me anymore either, I just write them out.
