That Someone Was Me I'm not all that important Most times being weak Nothing out the ordinary I had never been unique Being of no significance I will be forgotten easily By becoming obsolete A person with nonentity In this bottomless depth Wherein the void grows There is no longer hope In the lowest of the lows When falling into despair Feeling more than upset It became obvious to me I would be easy to forget Although being someone That holds you in memory Some day you may recall That the someone was me Hope©2003 |

Very touching poetry.So sad. It captures the feeling. And I hope it helps to write it. I always feel at least a touch better after having "said" it.  Make your words as sweet as honey, someday you may have to eat them. |
