Last Tango In Argentina

Was it that he was
more handsome than me?
Yes he was, coincidentally.
Was it because he was
richer than me?
Well, he was a millionaire.
A number I failed to achieve.

Actually, to lay all
foolishness aside.
He treated her better than
me and she was looking
for a better ride.
and he fit the bill perfectly.

Handsome, rich, and living
in a villa in Argentina.
She could live with that,
pleased to be far away from me.

Until he threw a wrench
into the middle of her plan.
He already had a wife and a
family in Argentina and he
intended to remain a married man.

That is a sad story. But I enjoyed the read.

Thank you loner, icebox and emanor for the nice responses.
Yeah, treat your wife the way she want to be treated or next thing you know she might start looking around and meet a handsome rich man from Argentina.  It happened to me.  It could happen to you.   James

My mouth dropped open as I read the last few lines.  You threw me for a loop!  I like this.

(big hugggssssssss) This reminded me of Shakira's "Objection"

"Objection, I don't want to be the exception
To get a little bit of your attention
Love you for free and I'm not your mother
But you don't even bother
Objection, I'm tired of this triangle
Got dizzy dancing tango
I'm falling apart in your arms again
No way,
I've got to get away!"

(big hugggssssssss) This happens way too often and the world truly needs more sensitive lovers like you, I send many healing hugs your way and hope this tango becomes a merengue soon, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet James, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Karma has a way of coming back and nipping plans in the butt, I am sorry you had to be hurt by this women, but truly she isnt worth your love, we all deserve someone who loves us for us, not for material possessions. Great write very well expressed

Thank you Nick, J.K. Mitchell, Noah, Whiskey and passing shadows for the nice response...
Whiskey I accept most of the blame for the failure of this relationship...lets just say I had major problems with control and communtication...you really can drive someone away from you and I did...it was a releaf to me when I read his letter to her in which he told her perhaps in another life or another time they could have been together but in this lifetime he was staying with his wife and family...she still decided she would prefer anyone but me.
Noah if you are interested in the tango there is a movie playing in the Art Theatres right now called Assasination Tango...about a hit man that goes to Argentina to perform a hit and he also explores the tango while there...there were a few parts in the movie that were fascinating...overall not the best movie...but interesting...James
