You can see how
the sky sends the truth
through the sunlight
echoes in the night

It hits your eyes
a smile to signify
that you heard it
and you need it

You saw me there
and you waved to me
I blew a kiss
and you caught it

and you said...

It might be a while
and I pretended
I was okay

Talia~
Oh how I felt this one...

   "and I pretended
   I was okay"

I've been the 'pretender' more times than I care to admit.
You've expressed it well.

Yes, there is a lot of waiting in life. But maybe we have to learn to be content with what we have before we can be blessed with what we desire...

Nice expression of your sadness, Talia.  Maybe you should put this one to music....

Kahlil! funny you mentioned putting this to music, its actually a song! I'd never posted my song lyrics(the words seemed less intense because there was music to back it up) until this one... thanks!

~Deep sigh~ Ouch. This literally pains my heart. Writing it down.

I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man.

Black Swan

Such emotional pull to this...the end caught me in a sigh.  Well done!

Talia, I know exactly what you mean about putting out words w/o the music that you're used to hearing with the music.  But for someone else who doesn't know that, the words become a special gift on their own.  I'm glad it's a song, it cried out to be!  Send us some more!!  ~K~
