   To Find

I almost passed by you
your proudly waves
the allure of bare feet
the first rush of letting go of skin
the sin of salt
little pins on pressed sand
where sun's reflection plays catch and drown
then draws breath again

I had to pull away to see
your mouth all spray with wind
your rounded clean line embraced by sky
to find the turn of curved arm where I am
still waiting wet and wild with sand

There is no grin as big as I have now...
California summer's first rays of daze...

but you saw it...

and you remember....

and how glad am I that your computer is no longer ill of heart!!!!

Welcome home!

And thank you
for this vision!!!

Hey Martie
I'm so glad that you're back...and with a beautiful
poem!! I love this part here.....

where sun's reflection plays catch and drown
then draws breath again

and this....

I had to pull away to see
your mouth all spray with wind
your rounded clean line embraced by sky
to find the turn of curved arm where I am
still waiting wet and wild with sand

Goofy me
I should have just highlighted the whole poem.

Hugs
Ethel

Hi Martie, I haven’t been to the beach yet this season, but with the kids out of school next week, here I come... WoooHooo!    lol

Your great poem though, was the next best thing!

I especially liked the ending:

“I had to pull away to see
your mouth all spray with wind
your rounded clean line embraced by sky
to find the turn of curved arm where I am
still waiting wet and wild with sand”

I got some salty water in my eyes on that one!

Take care Martie, wonderful write,

Richy

(smiles) Oh Martie, I love this, sweet friend, I think sometimes we skip askew from all the beautiful blessings that surround us then we greet them like an old friend when we notice them! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, swet friend, this is a gem, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martie, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

QJQ...I'm glad you enjoyed this..thank you for taking the time to read and let me know.

Karilea--A vision it is...thank you for seeing it and for the grin!

Ethel--perhaps goofy, also very sweet...thanks.

Richy--So sight or sound quite a special as kids at the beach...especially your own.  Thank you for your reply.

Noah...Actually this beach scene was a metaphor for another kind of relationship then to the ocean.  But, you're right..we take so much that's special for granted.

Barry...Thanks, dear man, for making me smile.

Sharon...Yes, it can be hot here, but you were here at a particularly hot time...sorry about that.  You'll just have to come again...right?

Janet Marie...I knew you would like this...so glad!  Yes, come to the beach with me..I'd love it!

Martie...I LOVE THIS!  I just love the way you
paint a masterpiece with words...no one like you.

Oh my dear,
This is very personable and bright...
How warm the spray of seashore.
A sensual beholding. TD

"wet and wild with sand"
Oh my Martie.
The whole poem screams with passion.

It's perfectly beautiful.

I want to go there.....

....and you took me for a few moments at least. This poem is worth reading just for the surface imagery, but the undertones are just delicious. You've blessed us again.

Mee too - you think you would make money if you had a book we could hold in our hands day after day - you bet you would!  I wish I had one - I would refer to it every day as Martie you are my "EBB" of the 2000's yanno
