Is it so strange to lie awake
grasp for a vision... heaven's sake
minds awake behind eye lids
the world awaits ya kid!

asleep for centuries..life has its forms
mutated through cosmic dust norms
invisible particles dance to surround sound
mind awake...yet the lids remain shut
for heaven's sake...what to make of it.
Take the happy ones who lace mud with straw,
content with a ground meal loaf or two...
grapple with the vision of a needed flute

To play for hardened sorrows to escape
so strange eyes  remain open...to lie awake
peeled to a ceiling fan
to grasp ideas of new encounters.

Though I sailed the seas asleep for centuries
my life took to different costumes on the way
my manners became acquainted to the odd custom,
but my eyelids were difficult to open
had to manoeuvre among assorted corrective lenses..

then to open a pair of eyes
there's a world I despised
yet I must continue
must sound out lonely flute notes
grasp ever pervasive encounters...
have the present slide nto anonymity...

for I have slept for so many years
there came and went all those peers

Keth,

meeting people on the constant go in this endless shuffle of cards...

Martin:

geez this is brilliant:

though I sailed the seas asleep for centuries

yes yes yes
and kind of makes you want to shut your eyes back up sometimes doesnt it?
the question lies:

to see or not to see . . .
hard choices
brilliant write

---a rude awakening! Set sail once more and hopefully the seas will be smooth and friendly and worth keeping your eyes open!

Warm hugs,
