Bittersome...Is My Past (Repost from Teen Poetry)

Just yesterday, you said you loved me,
And my heart thought you were real.
Just when I started falling for you,
You departed and all lies
Floated on lake... clearly revealed.
Just when I thought your words were true,
That you enjoyed every moment with me,
You declared that it was all bittersome,
Don't you know you've hurt my heart?

Just when I thought I'm losing,
I see I'm really gaining...
To see the real you before regrets,
I shall praise the Lord.
Maybe your words were lies,
But you did help me through.
I lose nothing to you...nothing...nothing
And I know Santa is going to grant me wishes,
That the best is saved for last,
So I'm hanging all my wishes on
My windows, waiting for dawn.
