Man that was one fun Karaoke bar wasn‘t it?

Oh, heck yeah, especially after working, “9 to5.”
So did you break up with Gloria?
No, I didn’t know how.
Man, I told you, “There’s Fifty Ways To Leave Your Lover!”
I know, I tried, but, “All She Wants To Do Is Dance.”
And it’s really hurting my, “Achy Breaky Heart.”
Well, what do you expect for an, “American Woman.”
Yeah, she’s down to earth though. And you know how
much I like, “A Natural Woman.”
Oh well, “Another One Bite’s The Dust” huh?
Yeah.
Hey, how’s, “Billie Jean?”
Oh, my little, “Brown Eyed Girl?”
She didn’t like my “Cheap Sunglasses.”
She said, I was trying to be a, “Big Shot.”
What can I say, I was, “Born To Be Wild.”
Plus, I was, “Blinded By The Light.”
Oh well.
Man, was I, “Burning Down The House”
or what?
Yeah, sure.
Hey, what about you? How’s, “Brandy?”
I don’t know, what are you talking about?
What am I talking about?
I’m talking about, “This Crazy Little Thing Called Love.”
Oh, I don’t know?
We can’t seem to “Come Together.”
I thought it was going to be, “Endless Love.”
I told her, I cherish, “Every Breath You Take.”
But she thinks I’m some kind of “Desperado.”
Why?
Well, because this one time we were, “Gettin Jiggy Wit It.”
And I said, oh, ““Do That to Me One More Time.”
And she started saying things like,
“Don’t Be Cruel.”
“Don’t Do Me Like That.”
“Do You Really Want To Hurt Me?”
“You Can’t Touch This.”
And I said, I thought, “Girls Just Want To Have Fun?”
And she said, I’m no, “Easy Lover.”
And I said, but baby, “We Got The Beat.”
And I said, plus your, “Every Woman In The World To Me.”

And then what?

She said, I have a, “Heart Of Glass.”
And I said, go ahead, “Harden My Heart.”
And she said, sorry but she was a, “Wild Thing.”
And I said, then why aren’t we doing the, “Funky Cold Medina?”
Besides, that’s, “What I Like About You.”
And she said, I got a “Heartache Tonight.”

You mean a headache?
I don’t know, I’m confused.

So I said, “If This Is It.”
“I Can’t Go For That.”
And she said, but “I Honestly Love You.”
And then she said, but “If You Leave Me Now.”
Then you can, “Go Your Own Way.”
And I said, wow, your just a, “Witchy Woman” aren’t you?

Ahhh, and I thought, I knew, “What A Girl Wants.”
Hey, “Don’t Worry, Be Happy.”
And then she said, you know what, “Your No Good.”
And I said, oh yeah, well “Your So Vain.”

Then What???

Then she said, I’m sorry, but “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling.”
Then she said “Get Over It.”
You know it’s funny, I always thought, that it was always
going to be, “Just The Two Of Us.”
Hey, “You Can’t Always Get What You Want.”
Yeah I know, it’s just that, “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.”
Don’t worry, you will.
Yeah, when? “In The Year 2525?”
Hey, what do you expect for an, “LA Woman.”
Yeah, she was an, “Uptown Girl.”
She was a, “Maneater!”
Plus she had those, “Lying Eyes.”
“Let It Be” man, just “Let It Be.”
You know, “You Can’t Always Get What You Want.”
So just, “Take It Easy.”
Yeah I know, it’s just that she was such a “Pretty Woman.”
I’ll never forget our first date.
It was, “Under The Boardwalk.”
Oh really?
Was it love at first sight?
Yeah it was.
I remember telling her, that there was,
“Something About The Way You Look Tonight.”
And she was saying, “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face”
that I had the, “Eye Of The Tiger.”
I told her, “My Eyes Adored You.”
And she said, would you, “Light My Fire” I want
to get, “Physical” with you.
And I was like, “Glory Days!”
Really!?
So how was it??
Oh, it was like, “Nights In White Satin.”
Really??
Oh yeah, she was like a, “Super Freak.”
Oh wow!
Oh yeah, are you kidding, after words she said,
“Man, I Feel Like A Woman!”
I was like, the “Rocket Man” “Leaving On A Jet Plane!”
Oh my gosh!
Tell me everything.
I, “Don’t Want To Miss A Thing.”
Well, let me put it this way.
It was a, “Ride Like The Wind!”
Gasp!
Yeah... we were like, “Riders On The Storm.”
Your kidding?
No I’m not, it was a real, “Walk On The Wild Side.”
Man, your lucky!
Yeah, we were, “Running With The Devil.”
Yeah?
Yeah, but at the same time, it was like, “The Stairway To Heaven.”
Really???
Oh Yeah... like, “Strawberry Fields Forever.”
Wow.
You know, and even though I’m the, “Son Of A Preacher Man.”
I had no, “Sympathy For The Devil.”
Your kidding?
Let me put it this way, “The Devil Went Out To Georgia.” that night.
In fact, it was, “The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia.”
Wow!!!
Oh yeah, I went down, “That Long And Winding Road.”
Like it was “The Last Train To Clarksville.”
Oh My!
Yeah, you could say, I was, “Taking Care Of Business.”
Yeah, then she started saying, “Take Me To The River!”
Man, it was like I could, “Fly Like An Eagle.”
You know, all “Footloose” and fancy free.
I felt like a, “Free Bird.”
Of course after, she asked me to, “Respect” her.
And I said, of course, what do I look like,
“The Coward Of The County?”
Man were you ever the same after that?
No, it was, “The End Of The Innocence.”
So what happened with you two?
I don’t know, she met some guy who
works with his hands?
OH Yeah?
Yeah, I think it was the, “Piano Man.”
OH!
Yeah, he told her, I like you, “Just The Way You Are.”
And then she started saying that this is, “My Life.”

Oh yeah... but, “Didn’t We Almost Have It All.”

But then she had this, “Total Eclipse Of The Heart.”

Hey how about you?
Didn’t you date her sister once?
Her sister?
Yeah, the blonde.
Oh, “Sister Golden Hair.”
Yeah right, “Maggie May.”
Her name was, “Layla.”
Oh.
Yeah, I remember the first time I called her.
I told her, “I Just Called To Say I Love You.”
And she said that she was, “The Owner Of A Lonely Heart.”
And I said, what’s wrong?
And she said that, “Grandma Got Ran Over By A Reindeer.”
Oh, “Mrs. Robinson?”
Yeah, her.
And I had told her that “I Had Heard It Through The Grapevine.”
But that, “We Can Work It Out.”
Plus she had just got back from the dentist, and so when she called
her parents, she was like, “Hello Muddah, Hello Fuddah.”
No?
Yeah.
It was fun.
I told her that, “One Of These Nights.”
I was going to take her to the, “Hotel California.”
Oh yeah, that would be nice.
Yeah.
So I was gonna pick her up in my, “Hot Rod Lincoln.”
Because her, “Little Red Corvette” was in the shop.
But the Lincoln wouldn’t start.
So we drove in my, “Lowrider.”
She told me to speed up, but I told her,
“I Can’t Drive 55.”
I said sorry, no “Life In The Fast Lane” today.
So we drove down “Penny Lane” for awhile.
Then it started sprinkling.
And she said, “Who’ll Stop The Rain.”
And I said, not me, but then we just started, “Singing In The Rain.”
The river along the road was rising, so we had to drive over a,
“Bridge Over Troubled Water.”
Really?
Yeah.
I remember seeing some, “Island In The Streams.”

So anyway...

We stopped at Margarittaville, for a bottle of, “Tequila.”
She said, Oh are you going to try and get me liquored up”
And I said, no, “I Drink Alone.”
Well anyway, here we are on, “Saturday, In The Park.”
And she tells me to, “Walk This Way.”
And so we went up, “Blueberry Hill.”
And we laid down in the, ‘Crimson And Clover.”
Really?
Yeah, it was nice.
Well, until...
Until???
Yeah.
Well, she had just said, OK my little angel, how about a smooch?
And I said, Babe, “Your Kiss Is On My List.”
And then...
And then what???
Well... I broke wind...
Ewwww!
Yeah, she was all like, good grief, “Who Let The Dogs Out!”
Did she go, Woof... Woof Woof Woof?
No.
I just said, honey I’m still your angel, that was just, “The Wind Beneath My Wings.”
Good, Good, that’ll work.
No not really.
Could you “Imagine” how I felt?
Uh, I guess not.
Well anyway, she was out of there in a, “New York Minute.”
And I’ve been down ever since.
Hey don’t worry about it.
You know as long as I’m alive, “You’ve Got A Friend.”
Hey thanks, I appreciate that.
Hey, and don’t worry about me going anywhere soon.
You know what they say?
What?
“Only The Good Die Young.”
Oh, yeah right.
Ahhh, your too ugly to live forever anyway.
Yeah, I know.
But as long as I’m alive.
I’m going to do it, “My Way.”

Hey Man, seriously,
“Thanks For The Memories!”

Sure.

“That’s What Friends Are For...”

Oh, lordie! LOL The jukebox in my head is in desperate need of valium... for it just HAD to play an excerpt from each and every song! LOL (Okay, there were two I'm not sure of... but I'd probably recognize them if I heard them... the rest, I could sing... if I could sing. *G*)

I loved it!!!! *G*

I got this idea last night, (late last night... ZZzzz...) to write something using as many song titles as I could. So I did a search for song titles, and found this site called, Ash Mania - Lyrics Galore. Any who, once I went through every song (Zzzzz.... Huh? I‘m awake!) trying to pick out as many as I thought were pretty recognizable. I then just threw them together in a mishmash type of story. I’m sure if I took some more time, I could have done a better job. But hey, by the time I got this much done. I was pooped, and just went ahead and posted it, anyway...lol

This is the link:
http://www.nanuq.com/ashleigh/lyrics/index.html

I don’t know how to set it up as a direct link. So if you just copy and paste this url into the search section of your internet browser, then you should be able to find the AshMania-Lyrics Galore website. From there you can access all the song titles I used. Just look in the section of the first letter of the title. Then if you want, you can even click on the title and get the actual lyrics.

You know, just another lyric website right?

Thanks Linda, I’m glad you enjoyed it. And thanks for the wonderful reply. How could I, or anyone for that matter, ever forget you either!

Big “Huggum’s” back to you!

Thanks Karilea, yeah it took quite a bit longer then I thought...lol
But yeah, it was fun to do...
Thanks for reading, and replying!

Hi Nancy, thanks for stopping by, and for the kind remarks.
Big Hugs & Smiles to you too!

Hi Marge...

“Thank You Very Much...”

That was my best Elvis, how was it? That bad huh?  lol

Oh well... lol  I’m glad you had fun reading it. It was just another weird thought of mine.

Oh and Marge, I would love to spin a poetic platter or three with you, anytime!

Big “Huglets” back to you!

“Elvis Has Left The Building...”

“Whoooosh!”

“Hey Marge, come back here!

lol

Hi suthern, I know what you mean. As I wrote it, the songs kept popping in my head too. I am really impressed that you could recognize all but two! Not that I am any big music aficionado, or anything. It’s just that we must have pretty compatible music interests. That’s why I added the link to the site above. In case you, or anyone else wanted to look up the song lyrics and who wrote them too of course. Hey, and I bet you have a beautiful voice. Especially in the shower, right?

Yeah, that‘s what I thought.

Me too!

lol

Thanks for the great reply suthern!
Take Care,

Richy

You've almost rendered me speechless!! What an amazing display of talent and knowledge.  I get the feeling you are somewhat of a music buff and love a lot of music.  I am the same and I reckon I could name the artists who sang most of those songs.  Thank you for bringing some humour into my day.

Take care......Sue

I can’t remember, the second thing???

Uhhmmng (clearing throat...lol)

Thanks Sue, your the sweetest!

Thanks Dixie, I’m glad you liked it!

Thanks Vandana, I appreciate you reading, and for the kind reply!

Thanks Maureen, you know as cheeeezy as this was to write. The couple of times I have re-read it. It is kinda funny, and nostalgic.

Oh well, we all can’t be Shakespeare right?

lol

Hey wait, now if Britney could have married The Bard, she would have been...

What a trip...down memory lane that is!  I think there was only two song titles I didn't know there, and I probably would know the songs if I heard them. How long did you work at this one?

You are too, too awesome!

All I gotta say, dude, let's rock!  You play the air guitar and I will rock the drums with my imaginary drumsticks!

Killer job...

Patricia, I bet you would, if you heard them!

That’s cool when I hear that someone actually recognizes most of these song titles. That was my intent. Patricia, it took several hours one night, and then several more the next morning. And it wasn’t like trying to come up with some verses in a poem. Especially rhyming kind of poems, which is about all I know how to do... lol.

I basically, picked out the song titles (several hours... lol) and then had to put them into some kind of dialogue. That is what took a tad bit of effort. Mainly just time consuming though.

Hey whenever your ready “Patty Cakes” lol... I play a mean bass on my big push broom...lol  And imaginary nothing, grab a few wooden spoons and start banging on a big ol’ metal pot or something...lol

“The Roof, The Roof, The Roof Is On Fire...”

Your so funny Patrica!

Thanks for the laughs!
