When Ya' Throw A Little Dirt
~Marge Tindal~

There is an old, old saying.
For eons it's been around.
'When you throw a little dirt
you lose a little ground.'

If indeed it's true,
and I believe it with all my soul,
you must be in over your head,
for you've dug yourself into a hole.

It's for sure, you'll get it back,
when others do as you have done.
They'll eventually throw it back
and then you will have some.

Better to sweep it out the door,
or sweep it under the rug.
It may just land on your head,
in the hole that you have dug.

When it lands on top of you
then the story is through.
You will be buried under
the same dirt that you threw.

~Just a little re-shoveled post for a friend~

LOL, yet I know the intent isn't humor.
I've thrown some dirt in my past, and it really did blow right back in my face. Now I'm more careful, and usually avoid that shovel.

Much wisdom in the shovel's fill here.
Said by a lady of poetic prowess.

Thanx Marge...sorta like the glass house
and rocks philosophy.

Dear Marge:  I learned to "bite my tongue" a long time ago.  It's well callused now!
Enjoyed your poem.

This is so true Marge. We always need to make sure that when we give someone a piece of our mind, that we can get by with what’s left. Especially when we’re angry.

“Speak when your angry and you’ll deliver the best speech you’ll ever regret.”

Wonderful write Marge!

I hope your having a pleasant memorial day

Take Care,

Richy

Yep - It's best to take a step up with each shovelful - You're best to stay on top of the pile for sure...

Thanks to each of you for reading and for your input~
