Time,
my bondage from thee.
For in thine eyes I am but a wisp
of he that desireth thee.  My gait
now a hobbled step.

Can thee ever know of love
within a trickling brook below
an old mill that waits
the grain?

Or...
Feel the softness of delicate
touch and have a torrent of desire fill
thee as a river rages through
a withered soul?

If but once,
I might hear the sigh of
morning’s wake as rays warm the
satin pillow.  Or plait the silken
tress before the mirror’s reflect.

Or, once drain the fount’s crystal, that
I might swill the wine of youth
against my silent tongue.

In silence I grieve. My sorrow
sealed...as dreams swill the
palate’s nectar.

Wow Barry, every word creates such a breathtaking vision.  This is simple beauty at it's best.

*sigh* even in silence you spin and weave a magic of emotions that flow into the mind of your reader touching the soul....May you find freedom in Time as it moves gently on kissing you with its wisdom and timeless love....Your heart is never in bondage for it soars with the eagles leaving awe and wonder in its wake....**hugs** my friend...

Blues,  glad I could throw a little tenderness
out into the blue..pleased you enjoyed...

Karen,  you silly woman....  Is there not
a single poem that I write,  which might
be judged as just plain old me....  Just
joking...you put a smile on my face as
always..

Ahhhh...dear friend...from the moment I read your first creation I could never have said there is anything plain about you....Today....I am always left in awe of the beauty that I see flowing from a talent that grows beyond what my limited vision could ever imagine....Never plain, dear friend, for you will ever be a hero to me...You have a rare gift that touches the hearts of those you befriend and fills them with a sense of worth they never had before....Plain Barry....*giggling* no not ever to this Star...**hugs** I will ever be your greatest fan and supporter, my friend...

Oh my...your writing is so elegant.  It takes my breath...I feel light of head and pale of face.  I have read this piece over and over, savoring and interpreting.

Take your time, my friend.  Live the dreams you may.  Your soul will then be free of bondage.

Thanx Pat...

I have been trying to write a poem of a man,
much older than a woman he loves.  One he
loves without her knowledge.  Afraid to
speak of his love for fear of her leaving.

This poem is of his thoughts and feelings.

Just a part of my imagination and partially
of memories long ago when I was much younger.  And I do mean much!!!

Karen...I bow humbly to your continued
admiration of my words...
