A Sage

His wisdom is timeless
young in loving thought
Message never aimless
words most painfully bought

Travelled roads of hardship
where lessons came with pain
Words flowed from fingertip
of bleeding heart and brain

There’s magic in weaving
of life’s love and passions
Taught by him, believing
leaving great impressions

His soul comes from the past
to one of modern times
Writing of knight’s conquest
love flowing in his rhymes

A Sage, A Master of words
taking his pen in hand
Weaves visions for lovebirds
in far off times and lands

Dedicated to a man who inspired me with his talent and priceless friendship. He taught me that fantasy can become reality if we only keep believing. Thank you...Barry...there is no way I can ever express to you just how much I appreciate and love you for all you guidance and support. Without the friendship you give me I never would have found the love of my life.

Startime55,
Oh terrific poem! I was mesmorized!

"His soul comes from the past
to one of modern times
Writing of knight’s conquest
love flowing in his rhymes"

This part is my favorite. Oooh so good!!!

P.S.- And as for Barry, he sounds like a Saint!

You've certainly captured the essence of quite a talented poet.  Very cool ST and Barry!

Hello Karen

I thought of Barry as I read this even before I got to the end.  I can relate so very well to your words for he has inspired me immensely and that is something I never will forget.  I'm so glad you have found so much love and happiness to fill your life.

Here is a quote I found which I thought you might like.

"My friend is like a bark
rounding a tree
He warms like sun
on a Winter day
He cools like water
in the hot noon
His voice is ready
as a Spring bird
He is my friend
And I am his"

Your words have always amazed me and continue to do so.

Take care......Sue

I'm anchored in you

Karen COOL!

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
