A Freshman...

In awe...

I gaze at creamy textures
of senior pen strokes,
one melting soft into another
in uninterrupted flow.

I sigh...

My naive heart can’t
help but long to hear
that same satisfied sigh
of my interpreters.

But alas...

I am no more than a
novice soloist, an
unaccomplished
pianist of verse.

I am...

A Freshman craftsman
with impatience
culminating jagged
at my fingertips.

A Poetess, nonetheless...

I shall continue
steadfast and studious
in pursuit of
graduation day.

if you're a freshman, I must be in first grade!
I like this, don't under estimate yourself!

Patricia,
Oooh so good! I feel the same fustrations, I hate being new and poor at something at the same time. But count yourself blessed, for while I am both when it comes to writing, you are only the first

I agree with GG,  first grade is about

Being a Freshman in Life isn't so bad, Patricia...some of us are life-long scholars...and graduation is far, far off down that dusty road...

Thank you for your replies of kind words.

Every day I thank goodness for Passions...I learn so much here.  I have not even been at this beautiful school two months, and have received such a grand education.

I do feel myself growing in my writing...sometimes two steps forward and one back...but I will get there I know.

Again thanks.

Patricia
