* * *

My mind remains wide open
In case my muse returns to me
I seem to have lost my focus
Through the lens I just can't see

My muse has gone on walkabout
The words no longer seem to flow
So I must plant another seed
And hope to see it bloom and grow

I sit here and I ponder
Life without my poetry
But that's something I can't imagine
For it's such a big part of me

So I'll escape inside my dreams
Where life goes on without a care
Who knows what I mind find
Maybe my muse is hiding there?

* * * *

"Walk on a rainbow trail,
walk on a trail of song,
and all about you
will be beauty.
There is a way out of every
dark mist, over the rainbow trail"

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

Keep that mind wide open Sue
and take those nice long naps
And If you’ve lost your focus
make sure you’ve removed the caps

I also thought that planting seeds
would be my safest bet
Too bad that in the morning
I looked like a Chia Pet?

So don’t you worry, go to bed
and dream of Kangaroo’s?
I know that your poems mean a lot
They mean lots to us too!

Pleasant Dreams Sue,

Richy

If you can't find it in your dreams, look among the flowers or a rainbow...

Well Sue, it looks like you've found your
muse from the way you've written this
beautiful poem. I love your poetry. It's
always wonderful.

Dear Sue, don't panic, it is there having a little breather, a line will come into your head very shortly, it more than likely will be when the computer has just been turned off, you have turned off all the lights, about to get into bed. Even though you will say the line over and over in your head, don't rely on memory, go back out, write the line down, and there will be your next great poem.
I hope that it comes to you soon my friend, the more you worry about finding your muse, the harder you might have to try to find it, relax and enjoy the world and your friends.

Goodluck, take care.

Sincerely
Rick

Sue,

I know there will be times, dear friend
when our muse escapes us all.
But open your eyes to lifes beauty
and soon you'll be in awe.

For life it holds so many things
that are pleasing to the eye
and through our vision we create
leaving us breathless...~sigh.

Your muse is close at hand
of that you can depend
for in you I find inspiration...
through the muse of a friend.

Hi Sue ~~ I've got popped in for a quick read of your poem. Hang on and think good thoughts; I'm sure your muse is just taking a much needed holiday!

As always, this was a great read.
