The tale of unseen people, whose voice I never heard
Their hopes and dreams and lives were all discarded as absurd
They never breathed the lovely air with which I fill my chest
They fell victim to the murder, which I do detest
Defenseless little creatures, within their mother's womb
The ones who should have loved them, became their grave and tomb
Yet I cannot hate them, the mothers of the lost
Who pay their dues a lifetime, who's shouldering the cost
I try to keep my voice down, while I loudly speak my mind
Not lower expectations, but attempting to be kind
The tale unwinds in secret, and suddenly stopped short
For with the tiny instruments, the tale it will contort
And so I weep in silence for the little people's lot
That weren't deemed important, oh those children, finely wrought
