I could let you in
to reach a new line
and cross it and I
could hear the sound
of my future creaking
as it turned on rusty
hinges

I saw you in the
paper shelters waiting
for the storm to pass
And the calm residing
in the square rooms
of my heart tell me
that it’s not over yet

I am still a little
in waking, still a little
in the shape of a fly
Not quite bumblebee
Not yet

So I am trying to
move, trying to figure
out how I can bend
Your honey makes me
think that I am there
But not quite yet
Not yet

So I want to let you in
and let us have our way
Then step back into
my square rooms and wash
off the wings you painted
onto my back

And see if I can still fly

052103

the faeries creep into my hair at night leaving it in terrible knots

Kinda of visually surreal, and I LIKE  that.

You go for the unexpected, and I admire that too.

Nice work, I did enjoy, and will be looking for more, 'cause I'm greedy.
