If I really mattered I wouldn’t get treated like this I wouldn’t take so much [edited by Moderator] If I didn’t care But you make me wish like I didn’t Because it’s all gone one way I do the caring You throw it in my face Just in case I matter Well I’ll be staying round here For a long time yet And if you ever need me You know I’m right there Just remember that I get lonely Because you don’t even think about me Maybe I’m wishing for something That’s never gonna come around But even if it doesn’t At least I can say I was there And I cared more Than you ever knew And I never stopped being there for you Just in case I matter Well I’ll be staying round here For a long time yet And if you ever need me You know I’m right there Just remember that I get lonely Because you don’t even think about me And I’m just trying to tell you In a way that you’ll notice More than if I scream it in your ear If someway you’ll remember Then that’s the way I want it to be I want to be with you And I won’t stop trying Even if you just don’t care Just in case I matter Well I’ll be staying round here For a long time yet And if you ever need me You know I’m right there Just remember that I get lonely Because you don’t even think about me. I can relate to what you're trying to say. You're trying so hard to send your message to us that you're angry. I got the feeling that you were almost shouting at us, demanding us to listen. Hey, at least I heard you. One person is, most of the time, all it takes to start a brush fire. Just know that at least one person in the world hears what you're trying to say! I like this one, as a poem. As a statement of intention, I have to say-run, do not walk, away. The moral high-position is an invitation to a wasted life. Go find someone who gets lonely without you. Or go be happy on your own. Leave a forwarding address in case this other person wises up, and live your life. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |
