Path of promise for enchanting sight
To where might be the lady of Vette white;
Her of dazzling smile with golden hair
Hope she’ll with me another moment share.

She sang in soft voice that matched her beauty
Too far off yet to catch the melody.

By streamside on a blanket of light blue
Blossom breeze blew blonde hair on shoulders tan
As luscious lips stilled and the song was through
Ivory teeth bit the apple in hand;
I stopped there where could in concealment see
But with a glancing and smile revealed me.

There beside her to sit she did invite
To share the blanket in afternoon light.

We talked about shapes of clouds in the sky
Imagining a circus drifting by,
Time ran too quickly as the sun set on day,
She rose to go but I wanted to stay.

~~to be continued

A path of promise...that is a great start.

Waiting for the next episode.
