when the dust settle
I am under it
it sets the stones into motion
sticking tabulatures in between the pages
of my reference manual
wiping the thick coat of dust
from the last stopping point
the new starting point
What have I learned?
better to be the one who insists
on action to be taken, quickly, or else!
than be the one who nurtures
and preaches, offers, patience
he gets left in the mud
with the rest of the soft tissue
don’t believe in all that nonsense about candle light
they want a torch
and a familiar hand to manipulate their strings
not someone who will help untangle them
what they romanticize about
and what they bed down with
are 2 different creatures
they take the strength you give them
and leave your carcass for the crows
use your crutch to deliver themselves to the other
there you are lying lame against a signpost
thumbing your way home….a long way from it

in the bathroom
rummaging through the bandages
looking for a noose
you make some phone calls
try to entice someone
who lies as low
as you are now
to come over, so you can suck each others blood
better than being holed up
with these obsolete blueprints
of a future that will never be

Well, my soft tissued hand just lit another candle (lavendar scented)dear D, and gave up a softly sighed 'peaceful thoughts' for you. You're welcome to ignore it, but I think I'll keep doing it anyway. G'nite.

as long as I can hold a pen or see this keyboard, not everything is totally fuct. Its what I do best, take the suicide sonata ringing through the gymnasium and make it listenable, or at last tolerable....who knows, maybe one day Ill meet one who wants to sit with me in the sunlight, without foreclosing on a premature sunset....

And I'm glad you keep that pen handy, and that keyboard plugged in. You have a great gift for imagery and metaphor.
