Every reason why my heart says,
you cannot go, I will not let you,
but my love will never imprison you.

Spirit of my heart needing you so,
the desire to leave is too important,
for you to seek your happiness.

The pain quakes in a broken heart,
in the hurt that reaches so deep,
beating from future loneliness.

From a faint heart of long ago,
the pain in you almost succumbed,
but our loving care mattered.

As our heart beats join,
we caress each others compassion,
and open the gate to your destiny.

The last stanza says it all..

"As our heart beats join,
we caress each others compassion,
and open the gate to your destiny."

Very well written.  Enjoyed.
