Chapter Of Time

I can’t pour my heart out on the page,
something inside says it just won’t work.
It won’t help to drown the memories
nor will it wash away all of the hurt.
There is just silence surrounding me
as it is all slowly sinking in,
that perhaps what was there, never was
and there was no way either one of us could win.
I’m not sure how to write it out
and I’m not sure how I should feel
and I’m not sure of one single damn thing
or  what  is and isn’t, or ever was real.
Will these be my final written words
and have I just written my last rhyme?
I don’t know, for I have no answers…
but the final page has turned on that chapter……of time.

I must have had my momma's will
and Gods Amazing Grace...

I'm a survivor....

Donna~  This is such an honest poem, your writing is lovely and so full of emotion.  I hope you will give it time, and let your feelings run their course.   I really do understand this, and I feel your pain.

I'll keep you in my thoughts, hugs~

Hi Donna...Writing from your heart and feelings, though sad, is good to read you.

"I’m not sure how to write it out
and I’m not sure how I should feel
and I’m not sure of one single damn thing
or  what  is and isn’t, or ever was real."

I've felt this way more than once...and one thing I found out about me...I will alway write it out as long as I have breath and pen.

~ This was my favorite part. While reading this...I was there where whatever what was, was not.

An excellent flowing write. Enjoyed!

(sigh) Just write each single interlude one at a time, sweet friend, in the end you'll see the jigsaw fits together! (big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Donna, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

I've had my moments when I questioned if something that was happening was real or not...I determined that it was real...a real bad situation...at those times it hurts...but it also is like coming to a fork in the road and you find yourself knowing which way to go...James

thoughts and feelings written are ways to remember history after you write them let it be a mystery.

Amazing, what happens when we write the final chapter on certain parts of our lives ourselves - some few things are under our control - knowing when something is over and going forward is definitely one of those parts that we can accept - or fight.  That we are usually responsible for more than just ourselves, it always takes some courage to know when to put the pen down and close the book.

But it's the opening of a new book, and taking a fresh pen, that then becomes the real challenge.

I'm looking forward to your new challenges!

You remind me of me...
Walking through life by feel...using good sense to steer those sandles. Not an easy task to understand what cannot be explained.
Wonderful expressions of the heart Donna.
