They did hear the sound of lark
Eyes did turn where long was dark
A shade of movement in the night
Then strike of flint was in the sight

First a glow then a flame
For once again it was the same
Circle formed as sticks were laid
Silence reign in the wooded glade

It has been long in time, came hesitant word
Since fire has flared and you were heard
Only a smile broke line of face
As more sticks were laid, with slow pace

What is Time of which you speak
For in the infinite you should seek
Make not haste of this surround
But count the grains of the very ground

We are of all that we have been
And will go once more with new begin
For time is nothing but what we find
And yet again, what is left behind

Memories take you wherever you go
And the days are fresh and never slow
Time is only where you want to be
From mountain top to rolling sea

Now I leave you with a thought
Waste not the times your mind has brought
For the soul does wear many faces
With footsteps leading to faraway places

Forget the bad so to remember the good
Seek the Time when you smell the wood
But for now I will sleep
For the way has been long, the rivers deep

As they looked his eyes did close
His mind did take where he had chose
Somewhere in Time where he did belong
As the lark did call in far off song

wish you could see the smile your rhymes divine put on me mothy face.
How perfect and just is this write from you...defines all that you hold true and pass on to us in your wisdom and grace.
You build the fire...the moths will come
superb write of rite poet L...
so cool to feel your breeze today.

I refuse to accept that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism & war that the daybreak of peace can never be reality.

Another one for me to keep, and re-read, from a mountain top or near the sea.

Yes dear Logan...Somewhere in Time...
and this is where the lump came to my throat.
You have been gone far too long..far too long.
This is a treasure, for more reasons than I care to share here.

Forget the bad so to remember the good

Well said....an excellent sentiment and a worthy poem.

To which I'd add, ...remember the bad, so to find the joy within the good.....

(sigh) Only the meadowlarks seem to listen in such moments, and who knows what that means sometimes only to our own intuition! (big hugggssssssss) This is lovely written, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Logan, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Missing you, "that place", and your work. I hope things are going well with you. Any questions about who this is..just e-mail someone you watch over.

Beautifully said.
