The Sirens Roared
~ By Sue ~

The trees were swaying back and forth
Things were blowing across the yard
And the clouds were turning dark
As the wind was blowing so hard

Then I heard the sirens roaring
Loud enough to hear all around
The trees were no longer blowing
And I was clear across this town

My home was on the other side
And, I wished that I was there
But, here I was so far away
With no shelter anywhere

The sirens stopped and I rushed home
To my animals there alone

We have had tornados all week, now. Alot of damage has been done in the little towns around me, and on the northside of my city.

Tornadoes are an eerie fright, in my mind.
The tunnels, the darkness...the sudden silence...and yet so much energy harnessed in a single spout.
Hope you are all safe, and settled. TD

dang Sue...maybe you should move again? Come on down to Florida, we just have hurricanes...and unbearable heat that you can't even breathe in...on second thought, I'll move over there with you, stay put!

One day, is too much for me.  But, I know there will be more.

Hey Dixie, I will be right here waiting for you. I even have an extra bedroom.

Yes Marge, I am fine. I will see if I can get Betty by phone. I don't know exactly where she lives in Yukon. I went to Yukon the other day. But, I didn't even have her phone number with me. I will let you know if I can get a hold of her.
