A hole, large enough to swallow suns Excavated one promise at a time Placed within the emptiness, a seed Meant to grow, a gift undaunted This moon, a holy nightlight Misted in her tears a garden drinks Tended to in gentle concentration Meant to soothe, a lullaby to sing And hope, the positive conductor Softly falling from a caring heart Filled within the emptiness a sea Meant to luster, stirring in the tides Harvested, a promise unforgotten Culled of meadow mornings dew Rained as summer sips, a potion Meant to taste, the filling in degrees Copyright Kkh 5/16/03 |
