The sun in its last moments
Is a blazing orange sphere
Shining full in its glory
Before it disappears;

Then a mural of color,
Of pink, orange, and blue
As sentimentally
The sun vanishes from view

Before you realize it,
Darkness covers the sky
Without giving you a chance
To even say goodbye;

And all that you are left with
Is a bit of hope to cling—
For only our Father knows
What the morning might bring!

Beautiful as the setting sun and the dawn that follows thereafter...

Have a glorious day!

Ben~
I soooooooooooo enjoy the setting of the sun~
God uses His most beautiful palette of colors to paint the twilight sky~
And THEN ... outdoes Himself on new morn breaking~

A lovely, lovely write~

Lovely.  Absolutely brilliant.  I love the delicious imagery that you riddled these verses with.  Just a question of curiosity, how far does your knowledge of the Spanish language go?  If they stretch far, all I have to say is "Tus poemas son muy bonitas.  Me encantan las poemas porque dicen la verdad en una forma muy bonita."  If you understand, and even if you don't, I hope you understand how much I enjoyed this poem.

Wonderful piece, I just love watching the sun disapear into the darkness which overtakes. Whats even better is watching the sun rise lighting the day. Nicely written I enjoyed it very much.

yv,

Sorry, my Spanish doesn't stretch that far. It only stretches about as far as my username, El Campeador, which means "the champion" in Spanish. Or I can say "hola".
