Just  a repost to let you all know I'm still here and breeze in and out of Passions from time to time. The new job is going well, but keeping me quite busy as I have 2 1/2 hours of driving time just to get there and back now. Missing you all :[

Dancing In Your Eyes

I saw you across the room;
blonde hair tossed from the wind
and you laughed as you shook your head
casting off the remnants of the downpour outside.
You turned towards me and the lights danced
in your brown eyes
sending a thousand messages in a single glance.

A slow song played as you reached for my hand
and led me to the dance floor pulling me closer
until I felt like an extension of you.
The beating of my heart keeping tempo
to the rhythm of the music as I danced,
lost in your eyes,
while the world blurred and disappeared around us.

And tonight, a lifetime lived in only short months,
kneeling, you smile at me as in your outstretched hand
you shakingly present a diamond offering
and your breath stills while you wait
for an affirmation of our love that so openly dances,
reflected in your eyes,
then tumbles out in liquid mirrors at the simple word,
“Yes.”

~ Ruth

If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

This is so charming!  Nothing is quite as precious as the first moments, be they minutes, hours or days, of new love.  You've shown us that with tender words.  Ken

The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light

That is sure a long drive.....
One good thing about that though is that it gives you a lot of time to think and reflect on life.  I'd been wondering where you were.  I'd noticed you hadn't been posting and hoped that you were ok.  I'm happy to see that all is well.  I'm glad your job is going well too.
And that is a very lovely dance.....
Enjoyed!!!!

My mind trips back to the first few moments with him.  The whole night slowly unfolds in my mind.  Ah...those first few moments, nothing can compare. Thank goodness those moments are permanently and sweetly transcribed in our memory. And thank goodness poems like yours exist to bring our memories of those moments to the forefront of our mind.

This is beautiful.
