Poetry in motion...
that's what I used to be
when doing my morning yogas
and running sveltely alongside the sea.

But now my routine stretch
gets me twisted like some vetch,
looking more like fodder for a compost heap
than Venus's daughter.

I remember when the full lotus
was not so far from reach...
only a short sliding movement away.
It's just part of my fantasy today.

Oh well, even pristine waters
can become fouled downstream
when they allow themselves to puddle and pool
into stagnant collecting ponds.

Now stretch and breathe
and one, two, three,
lift those arms, move those thighs,
point your toes straight to the skies!

Who are you kidding?
LOL, just another day in recovery
from the Body Un-Electric
and AM Yoga Pretzel exercises.

Kacy, isn’t it amazing how slow our metabolism gets as we age...

You have to exercise more and eat less, just to break even...lol

But the days I don’t work out, I just don’t feel as good...

Oh well, it’s almost time to get on the treadmill and watch the playoffs...

Go San Antonio!!

I’m not so much a Spurs fan as I am an anti Laker fan...

It’s a Northern California thing...

lol

I’m actually a Sacramento King fan, but they come on after...

Hang in there Kacy...

All we can do is the best we can...

Wonderful poem!

Hey Richy treadmill? good idea! anything to keep those cells transpiring
and that keeps you pumped up!

Nancy, smiling, let's just do it every day and pretend we all look like that lady on that Body Electric TV show (hope you've seen that one!)

(smiles) Nah, yoga ain't my cup of tea, or chai in that matter, but in Latin dances, oh yeah, I can find a lot of valuable poetic resources there! (big hugggsssssss) This is wonderful, sweet friend, every poet's gotta work off those mundane muse carbohydrates and seize the day, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

I wish I could excercise, now. My leg isn't very good anymore. I don't think I could do any.

Kacy,
Yeah right 5:00 a.m.! That's a good one.
I'm riding my bike five miles a day. Will that do? Just trying to get in shape for that camel ride you promised. Although a ride on the matt might be fun!

LARRY! LOL. You really ride 5? I'm walking 2-3 per day, and YES, I'm usually up at 5AM. But not necessarily by choice. You'd be surprised at what is on TV at 5AM.

Trying to visualize a camel ride...on the mat.

at 5 am here only thing on tv is 3rd rock from the sun reruns or those morning news programs which i find I'm better starting my day without.5 was my bed time till I recently went back to my dayjob.tried that lotus thing a while back but rolled over onto my back and had a hell of a time gettin upright again so I get my exercise and meditation from less hazardous means now.enjoyed the write at 52 I can relate.can't help wonder where it was you got your foot stuck though.

I had actually been contemplating taking uup yoga, but now I've changed my mind! I'm not a glutton for punishment! I'll continue with my own routine of working out at the gym when the spirit moves me, cycling when I'm in the mood, hiking when the weather is just perfect...

Oh Kacy!!! I really love this! hehe.... Those exercise can sometimes kill us, so you can see I've stopped growing height-wise, and started moving length-wise...

And yes, I even agree with your "looking more like fodder for compost heap than Venus's daughter"...

Gosh, is it right to get this excited?!

LOL at some of your replies to this novel (?)idea of exercising every morning.

Jason, no. But you can lift the coffee cans over your head at least, can't you?

Ray, I'll do two extra stretches for you. PS, I'm +5 older than you.

Sue, I'm sending you an exercise list

Sudhir, smiling is good for the face muscles

Sy, TOGA YOGA yes!

EA, that's a good plan

Ceinwyn, imaginery dog walk? LOL

Cherie! you think I look like fodder? LOL, I knew what you meant, so I forgive you for that remark
