Yarn out of reach

Deafened for a lack of determination
and blinded by bereavement;
I am but a whale to this world
immobile on the beach,
I am but a cat to this world
the yarn far out of reach

I'm taking a step at a time, and someday I hope to reach that yarn. That is all I can do today...
