MOON MAD

Had you not been so close to me,
Had you not smiled so winningly,
Had moon not shone so brilliantly,
Moon Mad might I not be.

Had clouds blanketed the skies,
Had thunder drowned out your sighs,
Had fog your beauty disguised,
Moon Mad were not my destiny.

But moon shone bright from up above,
And lonely hearts will search for love,
And dreams fly swiftly as the dove.
Moon Mad in love I''ll ever be.

HA... "If" surely holds a lot in its small coffer, doesn't it?... Nicely penned, FT...

Makes me sigh and laugh at the same time.... and think how that moon can be anything -- a candle, a fluorescent ceiling light, the sun, doesn't matter what, it becomes the moon.

I think if is love you are mad about, not the moon.  Enjoyed!
