Listening to every heart

Soldier-like in stance
He protects his family
Little babies three
See our feathers?Less of fluff
Learning quickly lots of stuff

Our mama watches
Our papa, brave protector
And then there is she
Our adopted mama, see?
Just in case the parents flee!

Karilea...I've raised quite a few baby birds...may still have that eye dropper handy, but not the hourly feeding stamina I had once.  Love this little family of yours!!

Awwww Karilea, thank you for sharing this with us. I love to watch the birds. By the way, there are baby birds up in my attic. I wonder how they got there. I hear them every morning.

AAWW, I love this, Karilea. Somehow I must have missed their birth day. What poem is about that? If you miss a little time around here, you miss a lot, don't you...with so many posts being made all the time.

Thanks for keeping us up-dated.
hugs,
Ethel

Karilea~

With Wrens and Sparrows in the garage
and Mockers in the trees
We've a three-ring-circus
of little melodies~

Robins on the lawn
and Woody's in the woods
Cardinals on the windowsill
I've been misunderstood~

The neighbors down the street
call me the 'Lady of Sweet-Tweets'
Always something in feathered hatch
added to my joy with each little batch~

Noisy to some ...
to me the sheerest pleasure
Spring is in this Ridgwood Meadow
in songs of gentle treasure~

*Me wub your little birdies !*

Thank you dear Karilea for sharing this sweetness! I am happy that these darlings have also a human Mom watching over them!
I enjoy these poetic reports so much!

Karilea:

this is so sweet - I have a nest here on my porch - and watch them fly back and forth and hear them all day long - is very cool - thanks for putting it into words for me
