Scheduled Struggle
matt keach

don't try to call me when i'm walking up the stairs
you know it's time to talk to someone who really cares
There's a clear and simple reason,
that solace sounds like solitude
Got a fear that keeps on growin
that the public pounds my mood

don't try to tell me to come to the table for dinner
don't feel like eatin',and you're just as much a sinner
There's a time you'll find the sunlight has finally diminished
There's a day lady justice will deem you're life finished

So I'm not hungry, and I don't wanna "chat"
And I don't feel guilty, don't give me all of that

Whether you DO or DON'T understand my trouble
I want out now and don't have the strength to struggle

So who is blocking you
from going through the door?

Lots of angst here...
but I understand the need
for wanting to be alone.

Good read, Matt.  Thank you.
