Dark Side The sun has a dark side Not known to all The clock strikes noon The sun is tall And so am I Walking freely among the sky So bright Casting safety into sight Vanquishing vampires left and right Cocoon my fears until the night Rays of illusions Transforming Into false security delusions The drummer boy sounds that war is coming Long as I can see him drumming Drummer boy won’t see me running Drummer boy sounds that war is coming I’ll stand my ground He won’t see me running Lest bar my sense of precious sight He drums his sound approaching night Imagination feeds my plight Fear seeps in through darkness fright Though why must I always feel this way Your safe in sunlight, who’s to say? Preventing evil during the day This is not true, to my dismay On midday walks the wicked lurk They promenade among us as we work They need not shade to come out of the woodwork To evil, shroud is simply a perk So take caution when you stroll through the park Whether in the light as well as the dark No matter the time or target, they’ll hit their mark Bestowing you to your maker, where true fear will embark.. |

Honestly I enjoyed it..and  nothing spooks me that easily...look forward to more of this side of you...If at first you don't succeed destroy all the evidence that you tried. |

I enjoyed the whole of this, but this verse in particular: The drummer boy sounds that war is coming Long as I can see him drumming Drummer boy won’t see me running Drummer boy sounds that war is coming I found the rhythmic repetition compelling and very effective in conveying the message. Enjoyed this much Joe! |
