Today, your existance justified
by the number of barricades you painted

They glisten under the sun,
past scratches concealed,
waiting to start afresh

Do you ask for the same thing,
I wonder
as joggers run past
in tune to ear-blasting music,
throwing you a cursory glance
as you converse with your fellow worker
in a secret language, your hands never stopping

Later, after a short nap taken
because there wasn't anything else to do,
I sat in front of the TV,
depleting a cup of whipped potato
without really tasting
while I wasted some life
half-thinking how and what to make of it

Kaile, I really liked the style in which you wrote this...

And the message as well...

Very nicely done!

Kaile, I imagine that a lot of people feel
this exact way when they go to their jobs
every day....they just don't know how to
express it as well as you did. You do have
a way with words.
Very good.
Hugs,
Ethel

Wow, Kaile... That's cool... I guess you've found a meaningful way to while away your spare time.

I always enjoy the view in your microscope, the one positioned under the close-up lens.

many hurdles to paint,
and you paint them well

Well, for starters, you could put salt, pepper and real butter on the potatoes to make them taste delicious!

Healing hugs,

kaile,
Another one to place in my library for future pleasure.  I so enjoy reading your work, you make me look at the world through different eyes.
