What flickers in the mist of me abides
The authority of endless time and tides
As the story twists and turns along the shore
What is written on the pages matters more

For the parchment has been milled by hands divine
As the ink dries there to see your light with mine
And I guess there is release at dawn’s new day
What is whispered to the wind and let away

Should I travel to the secret garden’s gate
Introspective of the moments to await
Evening penned against the hue of wishful skies
What is thought so deeply fills the moons bright eyes

When the dreams intention fills the heart so full
Like a candle in the window burns until
Fingers close about the flame to cease the glow
What is found remains the love we are to know

I have been there. I can attest that you are right in everything you say here, and beautifully so in this poem. Well done.

Kathleen it’s hard to find the words to describe this poem...

By the time I got to, “Evening penned against the hue of wishful skies”

I had to stop and take a breath, and sigh with joy...

This one, like so many of yours, is timeless...

As are you...

Kathleen,

I feel so blessed to be able to read your poetry. This one particularly touches my heart today on a personal level.

The whole poem wonderful, but I like this a great deal:

"For the parchment has been milled by hands divine
As the ink dries there to see your light with mine
And I guess there is release at dawn's new day
What is whispered to the wind and let away"

I love it.

Thank you,

Hugs, Pat
