Thoughtfully perused the concepts of man
The intricate moods and multi-plex plan
More percent boy in the wishes and whims
Most percent joy competing with hims

Thinking there must be embodied this free
The shell hard as stone to hide gentler he
More in the large and less in the small
Most to be heard from the top of the tall

Thorough confusion the sweet and the sour
The lines that define his illusional power
More in the right and less in the meek
Most to be mighty, the prominent peak

Thoughtfully too, what escapes the first glance
The creative conditions that allure him to chance
More in winning the hand than in taking the stand
Most a quality mix of combust and command

Thinking then heartily that a spirit so free
The incredible drive to attain happily
More to succeed in the grit push to shove
Most in full speed for the freedom they love

More in the mixture, the cocktail male
Most to be toasted, a comet to hale

What a bright diamond you are!  I enjoyed this so much.  I, myself, wrote something today about males...well a particular male who exhibits the qualities you discuss here.  Great minds think alike!  Except that you expressed it so much better than I.  Loved the flow, the words, the everything here.

BRAVO! This Diamond shines exquisitely bright today!

oooooo..OUCH!!!

Now,  I would think that I should counter
with some appropriate remarks regarding
the weaker of the sexes.....Right girls?

This seems like a perfect spot to bash
and smash....to cull the crop, so to speak.

Very good K.   How could you know so much
about the male psyche??  Ya got my competetive
juices goin'  so hang on to your petticoats,
slips and so forth....

Cheers!  This poem deserves undivided attention, simply because you have gone to great thought in putting aside the snips and snails and puppy dog tails, and giving the males the credit that is due them.  Now, where is its counterpart?

I delight in the thoughts of my readers...as for counterparts...
I read something about competitive juices flowing...but not a drop to drink...
I guess it is up to us...hmmm....
