*.*~~*.*

I will not stand the stormy cliffs a watchful widow
Lamenting past waves locked into the force of storms

I take my color box into the bursting meadow
Wrapped in the light and full the hope that always warms

I bathe in trickled exaltation reining soft below
Silver leaves in slivered tremble of the glee it forms

I will not stand to fight the wind, or cease to grow
Simply be all that I am, stretched out in Iris corms

My favorite verse:

I will not stand to fight the wind, or cease to grow
Simply be all that I am, stretched out in Iris corms

You have such a nice way with words...

Nicely done TD...

Well, Kathleen, I didn't read the replies before I copied the verse below to paste. It's the same one as Ringo quoted. But it did stand out to me, too. All of your words are so pretty that I could do the whole poem as my favorites.

I will not stand to fight the wind, or cease to grow
Simply be all that I am, stretched out in Iris corms

Hugs,
Ethel
