One Thousand Nights

Tonight I lay in my bed sad and alone
and my alter ego says "So what, tonight
is no different then one thousand other
nights since you've been on your own."
Yet tonight seems to be different to me.
Tonight seems to be unbearably lonely.

And I'm tired of being alone.
I want a woman to call my own.
Together, neither of us will
spend a night sad and alone.
