I admit
There's alot going on in my mind
I feel redundant most of the time
No wait let me rephrase that
ALL of the time
You see
You pretty much
Caught me off guard
And we both know
I've been emotionally scarred
To the point
Of no return
I bought a one way ticket
Somewhere between
When I found myself waking up
But I fell back asleep
Comfortable in my own frame of mind
Comfortable on the hard cold floor
Of everything going wrong
Medicated coddling
Doesn't help
I just overdose on the tears
When I've had enough
I don't mean to drown
In my own sea of emotions
But can't you see
Can't you understand
I'm starting to relax
When I'm around you
I think I'm getting too close for comfort
And that I just might have to run away again
Because honestly I'm hoping
That this connection we got going on
Is for real...

Ah...there is hope wrapped up in your words...Do not run from what might be as you will end up spending the rest of your life wondering "What Might Have Been" Let the heart relax that some healing may begin...heartfelt writing...

Kristen,

This is quite touching and captured what many of us have felt at one time or another. Well written feelings.

I know this..the urge to run away from some sense of happiness or content because there's a sick comfort in sadness and pain when it's all you've known for so long

Kris:

mann you said it all . . .  know this too
wish I didnt but hey . . . thats life

Is kind of like change becomes scary
when you are so comfortable being in
this skin for far too long -

I call when I feel like this
"icky"  there is just no other way to describe it - like you can just feeeel
the film on your skin but really
dont or have no way to remove it

Brilliant write Kris

If the last couple of poems of your's that I've read are recent, then you style really seems to have changed...I really like it though.  You've always had a better grasp of exactly what you want to project than I have and I'm envious of that...great job.

Be it in the truest form, or a desperate lack thereof, fail not to understand that the inspiration is love.

Ceinwyn - You have said it well, has the other person read this? If not, they should...
