Feel my greed.
To enjoy happiness as others suffer,
laughing while others cry,
living life even as others die.

What right do I have to smile,
as others scream out in pain?
And what right do I have to bless my fate
as others can only curse their own?

How can I be so thoughtless?
Am I truly so arrogant?
If so then I deserve none of it,
let it all be stripped away,
and leave me to be loathed.

How sad that you would feel this way about yourself...Sometimes we judge ourselves too harshly....Your writing shows you have heart and compassion...do not be too hard on yourself...
