We have so many feelings that all cultivate our heart
The mind plays tricks so often that it tears us near apart
We’re up and down, with smile with tear, not knowing where to turn
Reluctant we, to venture far, and other things to learn

The picture that I see ahead looks as the one before
Another night upon my bed and day has passed once more
I ponder with my feelings as they waver, then to fall
I’m lost with indecision and I’ve not a clue at all

Interaction seems an effort when I’m happy on my own
But tell myself, one day I must or I will live alone
For selfishness to share oneself calls louder to despair
And all the love you have inside, you’ll never get to share

We’re born to different formulas; we’re different in each way
We’re born to have life criticize the way we spend our day
But everyone does find a love, which sows their roses sweet
And everyone does prayer sometimes for betterment to greet

I'm belittled by my thinking and disturbed I’ve not the go
To change my day to different and discard the way I know
But feelings cultivate the heart and neurons rule the mind
I’m hoping that one day they’ll sow the me I want to find

“But everyone does find a love, which sows their roses sweet”

Got Dang Rick, that line alone is worth a million bucks...

Seriously, that line made me chuckle (in a good way of course!) it was so good...

Man, I could relate with a lot of this poem...

I also can appreciate my solitude and periods of quietness... I don’t have to have someone around me at all times to feel at ease...

I mean don’t get me wrong, I can babble on with the best of them...

If I have something to say... it’s going to be heard... usually by my cat... but nevertheless...

He’s a pretty good listener, well at least when he’s hungry...

But I don’t feel the need to converse simply to hear noise come out of the hole under my nose...

Speaking of blathering... I’m doing it now... see?

I’d better save some room for some other people to comment on...

Well any who... good luck my friend, finding that special person to share your life with...

That’s a whole ‘nother story aint it?

Or poem...

Either way...
Take Care,

Richy

the me I want to find...that says it all...I have struggled with just that very thing for so long, I am beginning to think I'm just hopelessly lost. Great write!

Richy, thank you for your wonderful reply, it was most greatly appreciated, it is alway nice to have someone as positive as yourself comment. I am sure there will be many more poems in the future, a good way to relax and express, again, thank you.

passing shadows, dear hopelessly lost, I am sure the person you want to be is not so far away, it's not for me to talk, but the strength of want must come and then the change will follow, one step at a time, one victory over a other wise to be regret. Make you moments count for you. Take care.

Sincerely
Rick

Hi Rick
Ha Ha! Found you.
I reckon those 1st two lines of your last verse would be true for just about everyone Rick...changing the direction of your life is a scary thing...most people are prepared to compromise I think...Those two lines jumped out at me!
Also,
"And everyone does "pray -(not prayer?) sometimes for betterment to greet".
Love Lynda

Dear Lynda, nice to see you here, I tried to edit the mistake, but the poem has been in too long to be able to, but thanks. Great to get your comments Lynda, hear from you soon.
