When paper roses are issued
Via mindful thoughts from you
Common sense then brings us near
For quiet thoughts you seem to hear.

You say they are just “black and white
But I hope they soon see you right,
They’re a poor excuse,” no, not true,
These paper roses sent from you.

They fill my mind with colored spree,
Times well spent in your company,
They do not die but live life full
Threading thoughts with the softest pull.

When paper roses are issued
I think of all the times with you.

Eliza~
This is certainly beautiful !

The title caught my eye, because I've just returned from the area Nurseries with three lovely purchases (a Mother's Day gift from my sweetie) of Jackson Perkins Roses.

And truth be told ... I love paper roses 'almost' as much~

A lovely poetic penning~

Ah, roses, in two dimensions or three- both are sweet reminders that you`re in someone`s thoughts.

Nice warm smile from me on this one, beautiful

There is a touch of bittersweet, as of one lost, but still held most dear?  Well done.  KJ
