Appease and pacify
With just a few lines
He called to say hi !

I was in his thoughts
He wrote me to say
He had been busy
All work and no play

In the greeting card
His idea was great
Sharing those times
We both appreciate

Different time zones
Being oceans apart
He can always find
The way to my heart

By uplifting my heart
In  thoughts desired
I am wearing smiles
He lovingly inspired

This is very sweet. I have received those "just to say hi" notes as well. For me, it seems they appease for fleeting moments but always leave me longing for more.

You reminded me of my lost love who sent these little notes frequently. I miss our correspondance. Now I think, indeed, one of those "just to say hi" would be enough me.
