If you reach but no-one answers with a sweet hello or prayer
If your feeble body’s yearning, but there’s simply no-one there
If you cry with shear frustration at the time when you were free
Take strength in what were blessings and what yet is still to be

When sleeping do your dreams all come with voices from the past?
Does music play a melody, that seems to ever last?
Or do you wait there lonely but not knowing that you are?
Just clinging to the love you had and moments set afar

Does hurt come tease your body as the tablets dull the pain?
Do walls all grow around you till a small world does remain?
Do yearnings seek a vision from the place they went to hide?
Do thoughts that used to dazzle, burn a longing deep inside?

Or have you lived the life that all would wish to live and own
While doing things of which you dreamt, with others and alone
Finding peace and pondering in age and what’s to be
Happy for each moment and in what there’s still to see

I've been thinking something similar...

and it's true I have been seeing the glass as half empty.

I just wanna pour me into something that fits a little better now.

Smiles to you.

Rick, the words in your poem fit together like a great puzzle...

Like the notes, to a classic song...

What a talent you have!

I really enjoy your style...

I’m looking forward to going back and reading the rest of your work...

Take Care,

Richy

Rick,
This is sensational.
Your presentation is wonderful, the rhyme excellent.
The thoughts provoked broke my heart.
As miracles are worked, what we cannot accept will fade, what we cannot handle will cease, what we will not need will end.
Personal belief, the only soothing. TD
