Residual raindrops
Pooling puddles,
Reigning now with
Multicolored feathers
In splash
Flit in flight
Forming one’s fancy

Oh, to feel the real
In cool of pool.

~*~

The peripheral visions had caught her eye,
her mind splintering prismatically,
pragmatically, but
notions of thought continued
threading into poetry.

One hand on wheel, eyes forward,
right hand beating against the current
cushioned chariot’s charge back to
her responsibilities,

her thoughts splintered again
toward him, and her, and them,
winding each ones psyche into a sequence
of sequins highlighting her life,
how their individual turns sparked the gleam
of her life,
how a single thread left one of them dangling,
and how,
if she were of an omnipotent nature,
she would just jerk it free
and cast it aside.

But something in the pool of puddles
of the earlier rhyme
inside her head
allowed not for the lake of her life
to remain so disturbed by that ripple,
that she mentally picked up
the loose, once meaningful sequin,
and tatted it back to her sweater
that curved her warm,

knowing that she could only be
complete
if she acknowledged
all of her flaws.

Of such writing are studies made.
Is it silver, gold or jade?
Does it come from soul held deep?
Forsooth, wherever, 'tis one I'll keep!

Beautifully done.  KJ
