Old Pictures

Above my eyes the pictures stare
Each a moment of declare
A point of time stopped in tide
It all seems now a misty bide.

It was the way that I looked then
A different time a different when
A different sigh a different shire
And yea much different desire

I often try to fix my mind
To see if I can really find
What thoughts had fluttered through my head?
So long ago and now have shed.

But something still remains in me
That visits phantoms that I see
Something that just stokes my fire
Something left of past desire

Perhaps it is the omni me
That longs to touch my youth at sea.

Ah, but you will always be young at heart Sy!
And every time I read you I'll look at you and sigh!

Seymour - quit looking at those old pics and come have a slice of warm banana bread with your tea. We'll go "down to the sea in ships" with our tall tales and be forever young.  hugs for this morning's read. Chris

Sepia set in silver frames
brings back love in many names
so many steps through history
we travel minds and blood, you see...

for each heartbeat that thumps along
as DNA strands us in one song,
the silvery frame which holds this You
is reminisced in poet's blue.

Youre not old ... you are like fine wine...

Now I saw that handsome man on your birthday page and he would have been hard not to fall for.  I hear tell Isabel literally tripped over yur tootsies back then, and gave you what for, and has been at that ever since
God love you both!  I love old photographs and have many I look at often, so they are loved by so many people I think Sy.

(sigh) Oh Seymour, this is beautiful, sweet friend, we take pictures for a reason, and it is to keep in touch with our sub-self and be reminded that we can always go back even if only for a still moment! (big hugggssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is wonderfully nostalgic, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Hey Seymour
I'm sure glad that this got bumped back to the top. Made me think of my old photos. Time does change the way we look, doesn't it? LOL  Especially those full length ones....there's a lot more to look at now than there was then.  HaHa!!

Thanks for this, friend. It got me tickled at myself...kind of!!

Hugs

Old pictures, and the tangled trail to today.
Sombre at times, Joyful at others,
Thoughts of what might have been,
What is,
What may be still.
Enjoy them.
