The newest plane
expensive
advanced
built from the ground up

Bugs worked out
test flights done
extensive
preperation

Everything...
constantly redone
shifted
till...

Perfection

Today

All the dreams chased
everything I've done
for this moment

Thrust back
I smile...
take off
Dreams coming true

Suddenly
Disaster
Too late to stop
Too early to bail

. . . all that we see is but a dream within a dream  . . .

Quite a dark ending but a real fine open message and it can go anywhere in the reader's mind. Nice work!

And so my marriage ended. Written for many situations, relevant for mine. Thank you.

It's a catch 22 all right~

I hope you find that runway and land safely.

What happens when you are about to crash and burn?  I think everyone knows what you're talking about because nothing lasts.  Great poem!

I hate it when that happens...

Wow, what a risk...

I guess if there wasn’t much of a risk... it wouldn’t be much of a dream though?

Real Nice Dreambuilder!

(big hugggsssssss( I'm still having trouble achieving liftoff, I am rusty on the knowledge the Wright Brothers had I suppose! (sigh) Fear not, soon all your dreams will take flight, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
